Pauls boutique bag smells of fish?

My new bag was delivered this morning, and I cant help but notice the smell coming from the interior of the bag. It is a fishy sort of smell, quite unpleasant... It might just be because the bag is new, and I don't really want the hastle of sending it back etc. Has this happened to anyone else? If so, does it go away? Or is there anything I can do to make it go away? Thanks.
